Linoleum print, size 20 x 20cm.
A 2-layer print of the Nebra Sky Disc, one of the most important archaeological finds of the past century. It shows the world’s oldest found concrete depiction of astronomical phenomena that we know.
Elements of the day and night sky mingle in front of an abstract network of stars. The Disc gives us an insight into the knowledge of our ancestors about the course of the world and its religious interpretation 3,600 years ago.
Hand-carved and printed on 100 g/qm white paper, with gold and blue caligo safe wash relief ink.
Each print might vary slightly due to the handmade process. This could be slight specks of ‘noise’ or spots with uneven ink texture.
Frame not included.
